For Immediate Release

Watchung, NJ: On Thursday, February 3, 2000, L&Z Tool and Engineering, Inc. of Watchung, NJ was named The New Products Team TOP RATED SUPPLIER for1999 by CAMBRO Manufacturing Company at an awards banquet held in Huntington Beach, California. This prestigious award, the first ever presented to a Tool Manufacturer, was the result of a year long cooperative effort between L&Z and CAMBRO in the development of a unique new food storage shelving system marketed under the trade name "CamShelving".

Present to accept the award on behalf of L&Z were Tom LaMarca, President, Paul Surhoff Vice-President of Manufacturing and Frank Cooper, Director of Sales and Marketing. The award was presented by Jon Rue, CAMBRO's Engineering and Mold Shop Manager in conjunction with Jamie Hardenbergh, Vice-President of Operations. The awards dinner was concluded with an informative and encouraging talk by Agryle Campbell, CAMBRO'S President and Owner.

CAMBRO Manufacturing Company, one of the country's leading manufacturers of food handling equipment, actually began the development of this product in 1998. The project initially involved the design and construction of seventeen Injection Molds. The product was to be produced in various sizes and configurations, which required a great deal "up front" Engineering to maximize output at the lowest possible tool cost. The larger molds (some over 25,000 lbs.) utilized insert molding of steel tubing to obtain the required rigidity. The product design also features a patented locking system, which required a great deal of innovative design to make practical from a molding standpoint. Gas Assist Injection Molding techniques were also employed on some components.

Early indications from CAMBRO are that the product launch is a success. L&Z is currently in the process of building complimentary tools in metric sizes for the European and Asian markets. L&Z's President, Tom LaMarca remarked at the awards dinner, 'There is virtually no limit to the things that can be accomplished when two companies work together in the cooperative atmosphere generated by the people at CAMBRO". Tom added, "All of the employees at L&Z are extremely grateful for this award and the knowledge that their efforts are noticed by our customers. Thank-you very much for this honor". L&Z and CAMBRO plan to work together on future projects.
